Research of pre-project of intervention: “ Improving health care and providing counseling service for the victims of Domestic violence”

In oder to support health care service effectively the victims of the Domestic violence in Bac Yen district, Son La province, the research was implemented as a study before beginning the project. The research focused on three main objectives including studying and evaluating knowledge, attitude and belief of health care providers and local authorities on Domestic violence; knowing the role of health care providers and local authorities in settling with Domestic violence; knowing the demands of health care providers and local authorities in supporting effectively the victims of Domestic violence. The research was implemented in two communes of Ta Xua and Lang Cheu, Bac Yen district, Son La province from 4/2006 to 7/2006 with financial support from Ford Foundation.
