Brief evaluation on demands and priorities for the activities of anti Gender-based violence

To know the situation of Gender-based violence in two provinces of Phu Tho and Ben Tre, UNFPA support finance for CSAGA to implement a quick survey in these provinces. The purpose of the research was to find awreness and attitude of community on Gender-based violence and women’s right. The research evaluated the limitation and seriousnees of violence as well as barriers in approaching local supporting services. The research reviewed support of social organizations to evaluate violence issue. The objectives were to identify demands and proriorities and suggested suitabe recommendations in minimizing and preventing violence. The research was in the national action plan 7 of UNFPA in Viet Nam, contributing to approval of composing Law on prevention of Domestic violence. The research was implemented from 6/2006 till the end of 8/2006.
