Program | Project: “Standing Up Against Violence (Stand Up): Migrant Women and Men Working Together to Stop Violence Against Women” | Year 2008 ended with the success of the project: "Violence against Women approach based on rights to empower migrant women affected by violence". 11 Self-help groups were established, gathered 120 women migrants. Self-help groups have organized 5 times communication about Prevention of domestic violence in the five districts of Hanoi.
The success of the project suggested we continue the second phase of the project. Phase 2 of this project is still support migrant women were gender violence. The project will also continue to provide psychological services and health for this migrant women group and will continue to organize media campaigns on gender violence in Hanoi. However, the activities of phase 2 will attract the participation of men in prevention of gender violence. The specific information on Phase 2 of the project as follows:

| Objectives of the action |
The overall objective is to contribute to national efforts in reducing violence against women, improving the protection and support of women who have experienced violence. The specific objectives are: 1. To empower migrant women affected by violence to speak out and raise awareness of violence against women, strengthening policy development and implementation. 2. To increase psychosocial support for migrant women affected by violence. 3. To ensure policy development and implementation is based on proven, effective methods with direct involvement and participation of women affected by violence. 4. To increase awareness and skills among men to adopt and advocate alternative non-violent models of masculinity.
