Goal: Sharing, assisting and helping men to resolve family conflicts as well as conflicts in relationships in a positive and non-violent way.
Objectives: - Providing relevant information on gender equality, and domestic violence and ways to prevent it. - Giving counseling to support and solve cases/problems that arise in families, especially conflicts that are at risk of becoming violence
Location: Linh Tam Co., Ltd (Group 6 – Lang Thuong – Dong Da – Ha Noi)
Time: Starting in February, 2011 Participants: Linh Tam counseling experts, collaborators and CSAGA’s experts.

17/08/2011 09:15:41 AM | Training: “Domestic violence in the relationship with gender equality and women’s rights” After the training course, participants can: Understand basic knowledge of Gender, Gender equality in the relationship with domestic violence, understand the fundamental rights of women under international law and Vietnam law, understanding the situation of domestic violence in Vietnam and some countries in the world, understand the true nature, causes and consequences of domestic violence, uderstand the cycle of violence and how to break the cycle of violence.... Workshop:"Skills in working with men to prevent domestic violence" With the purpose of providing CSAGA’s partners with skills in working with men to prevent domestic violence, then they can take part in common programmes and maintain prevention models that CSAGA has been carrying out to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women, during four days, from June 29 to July 2 2011 at La Thanh hotel, Hanoi, CSAGA conducted the workshop: “Skills in Working with Men to Prevent Domestic Violence”..... Older Activities of Teenage Groups at Schools Male students are aware of the violence caused by men, and then they know how to control and reduce their own violent behaviors... Direct counseling program on the VOV (Voice of Vietnam) Transport Radio Station This is the direct counseling program, which is to create opportunities for guests and listeners to discuss about the roles of men and women in the family, about unequal notions that lead to domestic violence, and then discuss with listeners progressive directions that are encouraged in society. Meetings of Fathers-to-be Groups at Polyclinic Hospital, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province The program is to create a close relationship between husbands and wives, especially in the period the wives are pregnant. Furthermore, the program is aimed to create safe feelings for future mothers, help them prepare the best for the important period in their lives... PROGRAM “THE REAL FATHER” When BECOMING A FATHER, you then know how difficult it is to be a father! You start to know about difficulties that your parents had to cope with in order to bring you up. You may feel regretful of days that you wasted next to your loved ones. But it seems that everything is too late, when your loved ones get older, even some of them passed away forever Introduce about the Prevention ProgramGoal: Raising awareness and capacity of community and all stakeholders (including mass media, social organizations and men) on gender equality and women rights.
Objectives:
- Decrease traditional gender stereotypes.
- Promotion of gender equality in society and family.
- Promotion of responsibility of all stakeholder in practice of gender equality and women rights.
