News | Circle Painting – Joining hands to end violence against women and girls | Annually we celebrate the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against women November 25th. This year, the celebration attracts the attention of hundreds of volunteers, and many women and youth. All people responded actively to the event “Circle Painting”, which was held on November 24 2011 at the Hanoi Children’s Palace. Each participant involved in the activity, painted canvas or hats, and through this, conveyed the message of saying “No” to violence against women and girls.

Circle painting is a community-based painting activity in which hundreds of people can join and make paintings. Mr. Nguyen Cao Hiep is the founder and art-director of the Circle Painting organization. Up to now, Circle Painting has traveled to more than 10 countries and 30,000 people have had the chance to take part in it.

In Vietnam, the celebration was held successfully with the organization of CSAGA, CCIHP and Youth Union. Especially, this event attracted the support and funding of a business as BAKING CENTER. BAKING CENTER is a showroom under the management of the Hoang Lam commercial and food joint stock company (Holafoods), which provided materials and equipment for the baking trade as well as giving varied training courses in making cakes.

The company does not only hope that women can satisfy their passion of making cakes but it also wishes women will have a peaceful and happy life.
