Communication | Workshop on Awareness Raising for Trafficking in Vietnam | On 13 September 2005, Center for Studies and Applied Science in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) held a sum-up meeting to review the achievements of this 1 year project, share information, experience and build the partnership among related agencies, organization working on trafficking issue.
The one-year project "Awareness Raising for non-resident employees in Hanoi on human trafficking and enhancing support to victims" was implemented by CSAGA in cooperation with Voice of Vietnam and Youth Volunteer Club with the fund of $24,000 from US Embassy, started from August, 2004.
Through various communication channels such as leaflets, websites, newspapers, radio, telephone and direct consultation to non-resident employees in Hanoi, the project aimed to change the awareness and behavior of the targeted group regarding human trafficking, equip them with skills to protect themselves, provided psychological counseling and information for trafficked victims. The project also helped trafficked victims to integrate into community. Total hits:
