Communication through the project “improving informal education system for child laborers"

The project will be implemented during ten months, from 3/2004 to 12/2005 with emphasis on the following activities:
1. Communication
2. Volunteer training for youths
3. Teaching and guiding activities for children
Communication groups will be implemented through two major channels: the Voice of Vietnam and cassette tapes.

1. By the Voice of Vietnam
- Aiming to create the positive impacts and improve the awareness of the whole civil society, in particular the family with kids, children and employer of children regarding children labor issues and the importance of educating children for stave off the children labor issue.
- Contents and style: reportage of status and consequences of children labor; broadcasting colloquy among educators responding enhance education for kid labors. Support sending message that children would like to give their parents, their employers and the community; quoting the studies on children labor, reporting (off live), broadcasting story, interview and reflected review.
- Broadcasting schedule: maintain broadcasting for eight months with one syllabus per month as frequency (from 4/2005 to 11/2005). In sum, there are 32 syllabuses with ten minutes per each
- Implemented group: communication staff of CSAGA in coordination with reporters of Voice of Vietnam regarding design; construct and arrange program for broadcasting. CSAGA will be responsible for contents of report, and liability; meanwhile VOV is responsible for broadcasting those preparations.
- Feedback of audiences will be received through air-mail (to VOV), e-mail, and phone-call to CSAGA. The responsibility of reply, resolving the questions and confusions of audience concerns will be allocated for CSAGA staff.
- Particular concern and priority in broadcasting program will be focus on the participation of child labor and youth volunteer.

2 By cassette tape:
- The program broadcast in VOV will be selected for recoding in tape for cassette players. We proposed that not all children and people concerning have chance and time to access to all the programs on VOV. With objectives of impacts on the consciousness of children labor, encourage children accessing diversified education style, provision of information and essential knowledge for protecting themselves.
- Production and distribution strategies: there will be two cassette tapes produced and distributed, from which, 100 copies will be printed through the origin one. All taped productions will be free distributed to the children group, youth volunteer group and individuals as well as organizations concerned.
- Implemented group: communication and technical staff of CSAGA are responsible for cassette tape production.
- Children group and youth volunteer group will participate in compiling and selecting contents and style for cassette tapes.
