Ms. Nguyen Van Anh: MA of Social Sciences and Humanity
Foundation Chairwoman – and Executive Director

Ms. Nguyen Van Anh had 10 years teaching at the high school Phu Xuyen – Ha Tay after having graduated from the Teachers’ Training University in 1983. After that, she had 9 years being a reporter at the Women’s Radio Program and Social Affairs Special Forum of the Radio Voice of Vietnam. This time, she had the chance to meet with many women with different circumstances. Being aware that people needed to have a place to be shared and listened to, in 1997, Ms. Van Anh established the psycho-emotional counseling company – Linktam. With the expectation of giving support to vulnerable people, in 2001, Center for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender – Family – Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) was founded with the mission of promoting the implementation of the human rights for women and children who are affected by violence and discrimination in Vietnam through innovative approaches.
With 11 years of experiences in giving counseling in family issues, Ms. Van Anh is seen active social activist in women and children’s rights. She has had many contributions in domestic violence prevention, support survivors of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking. Being an active and creative person, she has almost never stopped looking for new directions and methods to develop the organization. At first, survivors of gender-based violence looked for CSAGA’s support through telephone counseling, after that the model of clubs for survivors of domestic violence were duplicated. Up to now, survivors of domestic violence have been supported with many kinds of services.
With more than 10 years working in communication, Ms. Van Anh has created an outstanding strength for CSAGA, that is cooperating with mass communication to promote gender equality.
Ms. Van Anh has won some prizes:

Second prize of the 1992 Writing for Children Contest held by Children Protection Committee and UNICEF

In 2008, she was honored as one in 21 leaders of the 21st century – a prestigious award voted and given by the New York WomenEnews Magazine. In the writing about her, the WomenEnews Magazine wrote about Nguyen Van Anh as “the founder of gender equality in Vietnam”

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Thi - BA of Linguistic
Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communication:

Mrs. Thu Thi has been working in CSAGA since 2000, right after graduating from Social Science and Humanity University , majority in Linguistic. At that time, she was a counselor. Since 2002, she is in charge of counseling services of CSAGA and she has been taking part in counseling training courses for staffs of CSAGA and other organizations.
Since 2007, she has been assigned as the Deputy Director- responsible for training and services of CSAGA / Manager of Training section. She is now the project manager of “Building network of clubs for victims of domestic violence” in Hanoi . She is experienced in holding programs, events and working with vulnerable women. In 2009, She was Director of CMRC. Currently, she is Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communication.
Ms. Mai Thi Buoi – Head of the Professional Section

In 2001, after graduating from the Hanoi Law University, Ms. Mai Thi Buoi worked at CSAGA. She specially cares about promoting children’s rights, intervention programs to prevent corporal and psychological punishment against children and prevent domestic violence.
Ms. Mai Thi Buoi has a good deal of experiences in training, facilitating workshops and club meetings.
Ms. Pham Thanh Giang – BA of Social Sciences and Humanity

Mrs. Thanh Giang starts working in CSAGA right after graduated from Social Science and Humanity University in 2002. During this time, she has taken part in learning and researching issue related to children, using art and culture to approach and support children to impulse children’s rights and anti- corporal punishment against children. Besides her professional in children, she also works in gender and domestic violence.
Her works include designing and writing proposals, training on children’s rights, children’s participatory and anti- corporal punishment against children, facilitating forums and workshops of children. In the other hand, she has taken part in researching activity as a researcher. She has many experiences in managing and implementing projects on issues mentioned above.
